Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Meditation

Vinyasa Flow yoga is when you synchronize your breath with movement. If hatha yoga seems a bit slow for you try a beautiful dance of vinyasa flow. At Studio Dance and Fitness we teach a meditative style of vinyasa flow yoga. We move through our asana pratice with breath leading us into our meditation. We start the class with a positive affirmation, to center our minds on throughout the practice. For example, we may be doing a vinyasa flow class specifically directed on opening up our heart and chest cativity. Our positive affirmation to focus on throughout this session could go something like this, ” My heart is open to love”. We would meditate on this affirmation throughout the practice and observe how this consciousness helps open up the body and mind. We conclude our practice in savasana, “corpse” pose, as we gently in our minds eye repeat this same awareness to ourselves, ” My heart is open to love.”
