Evening of pampering mom's with autistic kids

It has been amazing since we started this company to see how “using what is good for you will be good to you.” That phrase means so much to us, because for one it is our company’s mantra but also it is the way I try to live may life each day. When I started B’Tyli Natural Skin Therapies, the day of my launch I had a stroke. This was no surprise for me or my friends who were there when it happen.  I had been sick for almost 20 years with kidney disease and when I started my company I was very ill but God moved me to do so regardless of my health condition.

In 2007 when I launched my company in November my health was getting worst, by Feburary of 2008 I was in a dialysis chair holding on to dear life. On June 17th 2008  I received my kidney from my husband and we both are doing great. So how does this relate to the title “Nature’s gift to you”?  Well the nature of things aligned my husband and I perfectly because God knew he would be the one that  could help save my life. Also the nature of things allowed me to fall in love with a man that is very good to me hence our company mantra, use what is good for you and it will be good to you. God used my husband’s goodness to save my life.

Charity - generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless. I was the one who was helpless, ill and poor in health and my husband’s generous action saved and changed my life. When I got my health back I made a decision to be even more involved in the community and giving back through my company. The past 3 years have been amazing.  We are a small company but it has been amazing to see the generosity of others who have helped us raise funds for some organizations that are very important to me.  When I got back on my feet  I had my one year anniversary party and we raised money for a local high school for kids who need second chances. This school has a daycare for teen parents so they can stay in school, so we raised money and resources to help keep the daycare up and running smoothly. In our second year we had a fashion show using our makeup line Velphet to help raise money for Georgia Transplant Association near and dear to my heart.  Last November for our third year was super exciting we did a fundraiser for Autism Speaks and had my dear friend Towanda Braxton come and help be apart of the cause .It was an amazing evening  to see all the support from local businesses, especially the generosity of our hosting facility Peter’s Path Boutique in The Avenue.
